Former Miami Dade County Schools CIO Debbie Karcher Joins iboss as Senior Advisor

BOSTON Mass., January 16, 2018 – iboss, provider of iboss cloud, a leading cloud-based internet security platform, announced today that it has hired Debbie Karcher as a Senior Education Advisor. Karcher is the former CIO of Miami Dade County Schools, the fourth largest school district in the United States.

While CIO of Miami Dade County Schools, Karcher was responsible for ensuring the 400,000 devices connected to the Miami Dade County Schools network had reliable internet access and deploying 1:1 initiatives. In addition, Debbie was responsible for securing student data against cyberattacks both in the classroom and at home. Karcher will leverage her experience running one of the largest school districts in the country to help iboss continue developing its technology so it aligns with the upcoming rules and regulations required for educational organizations.
