Web Gateways,

Designed for Distributed. Built for the Cloud.
Delivered as a Service.

Organizations shouldn’t view the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as an obstacle, but as an opportunity to improve their business performance and the quality of the data that they collect. The iboss Distributed Gateway Platform was designed specifically to help increasingly distributed – and, by that measure, global – businesses meet compliance effectively and put advanced threat protections around the data they collect.

Robust Protections Surround All Customer Data

Data is encrypted at rest and in transit on the Distributed Gateway Platform through AES-256 and SSL/TLS 1.2 industry standards, while encryption keys are private and stored securely offline to prevent bad actors from accessing them. The platform also supports log anonymization of user data and associated personally identifiable information (PII) to ensure only necessary parties have access to the most sensitive data.

A Compliant Partner to All Customers

Internally, iboss doesn’t store any customer PII data outside of customer contact information for the purposes of procurement and IT support. Customer data stored on the Distributed Gateway Platform includes URLs related to a customer’s employee web access history – which doesn’t include web access to financial sites visited that are secured via SSL to the host website – directory user names associated with web access, and malware detected on the network. All data is encrypted at rest and in motion, while database security has third-party validation and received FIPS-140-2 and Common Criteria certifications.

Certified by Industry Leaders

iboss certifications include ISO 27001, which specifies a management system that is intended to bring information security under management control, as well as the ISO 9001 family of quality management systems standards. These are designed to help organizations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders, while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product or service.

Ongoing Efforts Will Assure Long-Term Compliance

iboss is taking ongoing steps to ensure GDPR compliance and reduce risk for all stored customer data. This includes creating data flow and information audits – as well as providing these tools to customers – along with encryption of ALL customer data. We’re also vehement in ensuring that data protection training is undergone by all staff interacting with customer data, enforcing our own, regularly updated security processes.
